Title: Housing Office Inspector

Job Overview
The Housing Office Inspector provides non-personal location and relocation services for eligible U.S. Department of Defense members in the Polish Community. The inspector provides customer service, verbal interpretation and advisory assistance during customer and landlord negotiations, housing inspections, and transportation.

Qualifications

Able to write, speak and understand English and Polish fluently.
Professional, friendly customer service skills.
Driver’s license.
Conflict resolutions and communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and compose correspondence and other written communication.
Experience with both Polish and US Department of Defense Housing Regulations preferred.
Experience in an English-speaking environment for a minimum of six (6) month.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

Arrange appointments with the landlords on behalf of the customers. Appointments shall include viewing of new units, check-in inspections, check-out inspections and specialinspections. The Contractor will schedule viewing appointments with the customers in person as well as on the telephone.
Provide transportation to the customer once coordination with the parties involved is established. Pick up the customers from the Housing Services Office (HSO) and take them to the individual housing destination as well as take the customer back to the Housing Services Office.
On-site inspection, measuring all doorways and other tight areas, such as stairwells and hallways, and determine what type (European or U.S.) and size of Government issued appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove) and furnishings can be accommodated in a dwelling and if appropriate hook-ups are in place.
Ensures through on-site inspection that all PRH offered meet the adequacy standards and accuracy of the data in the system.
Schedule the final out-check inspection to minimize use of TLA.
Ensure that final clearance procedures conform to preclude customers from departing the community without clearing through the HSO.
Establish local procedures to ensure departing personnel clear their furnishing hands receipts before clearing the Garrison Housing Division.
Provide transportation for the customer to and from out-check. During out-check theContractor shall complete the Inventory and Physical Condition Report, and compare the condition to the Inventory and Physical Condition Report from the in-check inspection.
Attempt to resolve any disputes between the landlord and the customer.
Take photos of all damages noted during the out-check inspection and shall document any agreements the landlord and the tenant make during the out-check inspection.
Take final meter readings or ensure that final meter readings are performed by local utility companies and make arrangements for final heating bill with landlord if necessary.
Make arrangements for return of security deposit to tenant.
